If you’ve been delaying getting an IRA account, you shouldn’t delay it any further as the Tax season is approaching and there can’t be a better way to defer your tax payments than starting an IRA. As the Tax season is nearing, this could be your last chance to open an IRA account and get the advantage of tax deferred earning growth.
With TradeKing, it’s not just about tax advantage, you get the power to make your own investment decisions, and that’s not all. You get the edge of high end services along with competitive pricing, which are hard to beat, compare it with any name in the brokerage industry and you will know.
Well, if that’s not enough, TradeKing lets you take full command over your funds while the size of your account and trade frequency doesn’t matter at all.
This time around you won’t find any better deals for opening up an IRA account, so CompareBroker recommends readers that they should consider TradeKing for new IRA accounts, and if they are planning a switch then the deal gets even sweeter.

I opted for OptionsHouse after reading your post about them. Do you think I should have gone with TradeKing?
For your reference, this post made me open an account with them :- http://www.comparebroker.com/blog/2012/03/31/best-ira-deal-tax-season-2012-free-trades-and-a-lot-more-with-optionshouse/

Brian,
OptionsHouse is just fine. You will like it. It has a solid interface now along with record low pricing acorss the industry. We have covered OptionsHouse pretty extensively here: http://www.comparebroker.com/optionshouse-reviews-online-stock-brokers-review
Anyways its better to have multiple accounts anyways because sometimes even the best platforms crash and become unavailable. I had that issue with TDAmeritrade last year. So you might want to open one with TradeKing as well. However if you were to compare Tradeking vs. OptionsHouse, I will pick OptionsHouse just because of their low pricing.

I agree with you pgupta, at times applications are held for various reasons. There might be issues with the information that Viktor provided while filling the form. I have an account with tradeking and as far as I can recall, my account opening was quite swift.
Well, one thing I would like to tell all the readers here is that tradeking offers Maxit Tax Manager free of cost to all its users. This is one great tool even if you have to pay to use it, and most brokers charge you for this.

I tried to open IRA account with Trade King and so far I am not happy. I filled out an application and got email stating that i would get response within minutes. I contacted online support and was told that i may get approved by next day. I have excellent credit and did not select any options that require extra processing time.
I think you need to try going thru the actual process of signing up for the account with Trade King before you recomment it to others.

Viktor,
You will hear back from them, sometimes applications get held up for all kinds of reasons. That doesn’t make a brokerage inferior. If you do not hear back from them in next few days, let me know and I can ask my contact at Tradeking to investigate.
I personally operate 4 brokerage account on a daily basis and am quite familiar with the process.
Thanks,
-Punit.

Even Scottrade and OptionsHouse are offering No Fee IRA accounts with some good deals. You can check CompareBroker’s review of these two brokers, by the time we read through the fine print of these offers and review them for our readers.
